OVERVIEW
The Product Line Plan (PLP) project began to support our merchandising teams, specifically our Product Line Managers (PLM) and Merchants at Nike.

The goal was to partner with cross-functional teams across research, design, business management, technical management, engineers, and end users to create an updated online tool to support PLM and Merchants at Nike.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As one of 4 UX researchers and 4 UX designers, I continue to partner with these Nike teams and contribute research and design implementation:

UX Design - Digital Product Creation (DPC) Merchandising
BPM - Business Product Managers
TPM - Technical Product Managers
Global Tech - Full Stack Engineers
TM - Transition Management
JOINING THE PLP PROJECT
I joined the PLP project while it's been in-flight of work. During onboarding, preliminary research, design, and one beta test of the PLP Tool had already taken place. I am currently working on refining research results, designing specific key core features, and continuing to set up beta testing.
The PLP team collectively worked on various miro boards to prioritize what key features would need to be worked on.
MY CONTRIBUTION - COMMENTS
During the team's initial research, it has been determined that three major key areas were going to be focused on: a custom-view option, a list-view option, and a detailed product display option.
Within all these elements, I was tasked to work on a commenting feature for PLP.
In this implementation, I utilized current components from Nike's EDS component library for a comment box that would show up in the PLP's product detail page.
In this implementation, I utilized current components from Nike's EDS component library for a comment box that would show up via a side modal pop-out from the right side of screen.
MY CONTRIBUTION - REQUEST ACCESS+PROFILE SETUP
As the team continued to research and design other elements of PLP, I also worked on creating the request access to PLP and profile setup features.
I designed these screens with various forms, dropdown, modals, and styling derived from Nike's Enterprise Design System (EDS).
CURRENT UPDATE
Currently, work on PLP is in-flight. Development is continuing to progress along with cross-functional teams working together to update the product roadmap. The Product Line Plan tool had its MVP soft launch in December 2024.
